Mobile Internet Favourites for Handheld PC's

The HPC:Factor Mobile Internet Favourites sets are collections of Internet shortcuts that users of Windows CE based Handheld PC's may find useful when searching for information.

There are two packages on offer for use with Pocket Internet Explorer Mobile Internet Favourites and Handheld PC Favourites.

Mobile Internet Favourites 1.09

The Mobile Internet Favourites package is a collection of Internet resources formatted specifically for use on low bandwidth and / or small screen devices such as the Handheld PC and Pocket PC.

The Mobile Internet Favourites package is available for all Windows Mobile based devices running Windows CE 2.0 and above. Some of the URL's provided may have content that requires the Multimedia functionality of Handheld PC Professional (Windows CE 2.11) and above.
The package is compatible with any mobile device processor including SH3, SH4, MIPS, StrongARM, XScale, x86. It is not compatible with Windows CE 1.0x based devices.

HPC Factor Mobile Internet Favourites requires less than 1.5KB of storage memory.

Handheld PC Favourites 1.06

The Handheld PC Favourites package contains shortcuts to Handheld PC Community Internet resources. While these links are not specifically designed for Windows Mobile based devices or devices with small screens they will be of benefit to any Handheld PC owner looking for news, reviews and information on their Handheld PC.

The Handheld PC Favourites package is available for all Windows Mobile based devices running Windows CE 2.0 and above. Some of the URL's provided contain content which requires the Multimedia functionality of Handheld PC Professional (Windows CE 2.11) and above.

Installation Instructions

To install one of the HPC Factor Favourites packages

  1. If you have installed one of the packages before Uninstall any previous versions
  2. Download the .cab file by clicking the download link above
  3. Upload the Cab file to your Handheld PC using ActiveSync
  4. Double Tab the Cab file to begin the installation
  5. Accept the Default Installation Directory when prompted by tapping OK
  6. Installation will now be complete. To use the Packages tap 'Favorites' on the Start Menu

Removal Instructions

To Remove a HPC Factor Favourites package

  1. Open the Control Panel
  2. Double Tap Remove Programs
  3. From the list select the HPC Factor package you wish to remove
  4. Tap Remove
  5. The Favourites package will now be removed from your Handheld PC
