DockWare™ -- a personalised clock and calendar for your Handheld PC.
Put your H/PC to work in its cradle while on your desk! The Pocket PC Summit 2001 Awards finalist, DockWare gives you a desk clock and calendar with your own pictures as a slide show in the background.

DockWare's auto-start feature means that you don't even need to run it yourself. You can just let DockWare take over whenever your Handheld PC is idle, and running on external power. DockWare lets you keep your device connected to your desktop without revealing your schedule or other personal information to your office visitors.

Dockware transforms your Handheld PC's display into an artistic, truly personal desk calendar viewer that travels home with you at the end of every day.

If you are looking to make an impression, installing corporate artwork or promotional graphics will get you noticed; and keeping lots of shots of the kids near by at all times without needing a photo library worth of picture frames will keep things tidy!

 

DockWare Customisation

Dockware features numerous personalisation settings and tweaks, including

  • Full Month, long date or day view
  • Digital Clock
  • Picture Display on or off
  • 15 second picture rotation
  • Auto-Start after 5 minutes

 

Dockware 2.0 supports Windows Bitmap as well as JPG file types for displaying as cycling background images during dockware runtime.
It is not required that images are optimised to specifically conform to the screen dimensions of your Handheld PC - though it will improve performance.

If your image file is larger than the available screen area. Dockware will automatically resize (scale) JPG files to match the dimensions of your H/PC's display. Graphics smaller than the screen area of your H/PC will remain unchanged.
Dockware cannot resize Bitmap files on the fly, and so all BMP files will retain their original image dimensions.

To get you started, 13 background images have been included with the Dockware installation package so that you can use the program immediately.

Additional Artwork

If you are looking for additional artwork for displaying in Dockware, the HPC:Factor Themes section provides free downloads of a large number of wallpaper images which will work in conjunction with Dockware.

  • Windows CE based Handheld PC
  • Handheld PC Professional or later
  • 85 KB storage space, 300 KB with sample pictures (in main memory or a storage card)
  • Additional storage space for custom background images
  • Colour screen capable of 256-colour (16-bit recommended)
  • Microsoft ActiveSync 3.1 or later for Host Installation
