LOL Snappy, you were looking at our hungarian pda portal, i'm sure! they just posted the very same news there and a thread have been started as well

anyway this history can't be considered complete, not even close to it, imo.

Ya, I guess this article was concerned with the pre-historical history!

cmonex, hehe ... I cannot read/speak hungarian (yet!) ... but I read this somewhere on the web ...

I think some of the pictures was familar to a certain extent. Some were totally never seen before! But its interesting how the article traced the roots to those companies that we today, never think of them as PDA makers.

One thing that I gather from the article is that Microsoft, like Apple, is very successful in doing applied-science or applied-computing, in that they are able to productize many technology pieces into a single harmonious gadget that the mass is happy to use and can afford to buy. Of cos, there are many many others like Sony, HP, Sharp, Dell etc etc ... and also that all these companies also do much research of their own too. (Not sure abt Dell though! )
