Finally found a good sound editor for my 900c..It's called WavePad, here: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/pocket.html It runs out of the box on "Custom Rom v.2"
It can open, edit (cut, insert silent, use effects..) and save as .wav or .mp3..It has even a record function but I haven't got it to work yet..I also tried it with RedGear on my 728 with no luck.

Thanks Rich. Actually the record function works..it starts, but stops after aproximately 2 seconds..I thought it had something to do with the lack of free memory, but the program seems to store temp files into the storage card, which has 1GB of free memory

For some reason I can't seem to install anything from this side. Everytime I download any installer, when I go to run it I get an "invalid setup file" type error...wonder why...

Sorry Rich, forgot to mention that you'll need to extract the files from the PocketPC2003 .cab using MSCEInf.exe. Once files are copied to either the CF card or the main memory of the 900c, the program will run nicely.

That's what I did with my Stylistic. Opens fine, but I haven't tested it yet.

neat-o i noticed on the site it says you can make and edit music, does that mean it comes bundled with (or can buy) instruments in order to layer tracks to compose songs? or is it more like layering loops ala fruity loops et al. ? either way a very cool find.

I tested the program again. The record function works fine, just make sure there's some free Storage Memory (System Properties) and you have a lot of free space in the CF. Recording with low bitrate helps. I haven't understood yet if the Internal Disk space is involved in the recording process. Nice program anyway.

jorel101, unfortunately this is a simple sound editor..I found it while looking for a program for composing songs though. In my dreams one day I will get Meteor to work on my 900c..

hrm, I was poking around on that site that you link to (Dan) and found something called audiobox. they say it works on windows mobile 2000. is that the same as windows ce 3.x? if so that looks from here like it could be and alt to meteor. (or am i assuming too much?)

I think you are right, Rich. Time ago I even contacted Cmonex and she suggested me how to hexedit ta program in order to get it to start without errors..but after that I seem to recall that the program had some other kind of issues.

jorel101, I'll try AudioBox later and let you know!

AudioBox seems to work but causes some stylus calibration issues..Unfortunately I don't think it allows to record tracks/sounds.
