Location: Panama | Hi All, I am planning on buying a Advantech MobiPanel 100E on ebay, but i would like to know if anyone have a list of the software that is avaible for Windows CE.net 4.1, i used to have a Jornada 820, Hitachi ePlate, Sharp Mobilon Tripad, Fujitsu Pencentra with Windows CE 2.11.
Is there any way to plug a USB thumb drive or anything else in this version of Windows CE.net aside from the keyboard or mouse?
Anyone have a list of compatible software?
I know about Windows CE 2.11 but not much for Windows CE.net 4.1 anyone can help me?

regards,
DK

Location: Southern California | Nice price, especially with all the extras. (Haven't seen one of these in person before, but it looks very similar to the ViewSonic Airpanel 100, which also had a Windows CE 4.1 .net version.)
Many programs written for Windows Mobile 2003 will work with a few DLL files added, because many of these programs were written for the .NET Compact Framework 1.0 (which can be installed on this device) and, as I've learned, many other WM 2003 programs actually identify their OS version as 4.1 (rather than 4.2, which is the version on which WM 2003 is based). Even some other CE 4.2 programs can be made to work with some hacking. Nearly all earlier Pocket PC programs will work as well.
The web browser in CE 4.1 .net (Internet Explorer CE 5.5) is also considerably better than the Pocket Internet Explorer of H/PC 2000 and earlier devices.
As for USB thumb drives, they may well work out of the box with this device. If not, you can use the Deje USB mass storage driver:

Location: Russia | I guess you are speaking about those, selling for $65 with docking station. They have mistaken about Windows version.
All MPC-100E units have CE.Net 4.2, that's much better than 4.1. Many apps for Windows Mobile should run quite nice.
List of ALL compatible softare? That's to long... Ask less complex question. Most likely anything you need exists.
P.S. This should be before Geek's post.

That's the 4.1 logo on the screen, not the 4.2 logo. (The latter has the window icon to the left of the word 'Windows' rather than above it.)

Sorry. Checked the existence of CE 4.1 models with google too bad.
