Get a 2 gig sd card, format it, Then unzip the file and copy the "SCRIPT" folder to it, after that, insert the memory card into the smartbook and let it run...installs on its own.

And here's the android recovery file for those who want to install it over ce6 on their vt8505 cpu powered netbooks. You can always reinstall ce6 over it if you dont like it.

http://orca.st.usm.edu/~cberry2/android-ARM-8505-Smartbook.zip

Cheers

When I downloaded this, it was a Android 1.5x demo. I am looking for a way to make it into a production version or find an Android production version for the Arm 8505 (Sylvania Netbook).

Assuming you have the archive to do the restore from the following might work.

1) Get an SD card. Format it with FAT32 on a windows box.
2) Un-archive the OS archive looking for a "\script" without the quotes.
3) Copy that \script sub-directory/folder to the SD card. When you are done you want to see a \script on that
SD card.
4) Assuming your netbook boots, turn it on. Once it is at the desktop, insert the SD card. In the
Slyvania Netbook, the card goes in face-down. Once you have inserted it, look for the card in "My Computers" or whatever and see if you can see the \script folder/sub-directory.
5) If you can see the \script folder, power down your netbook, wait 30 seconds and then power it up again.
6) Watch the messages. You are waiting for one that mentions "take out SD card/re-boot/re-set netbook.
7) Take out SD card. Power down the netbook. Wait 30 seconds. Power up the netbook.

If everything worked right you now have a new OS installed. There is an OS upgrade for the Sylvania Netbook available at www.digitalgadgets.com
