Looks kinda cool, but the processor sounds a bit slow considering that there are CE 6 tablets in the 700-800MHz range already. A bit pricey too - couldn't they sell it for $300 or even less?

You have forgot that the CPU architecture can differ very much. Tegra CPUs aren't ARM-core-based and can have much wider pipeline.

What I mean: deeper pipelining (executing more instructions at a time) gives better perfomance.

Just found this when searching for one of my posts and thought that I should elaborate.

WindowsForDevices is unfortunately defunct now, and even more unfortunately, many of its pages have not been archived thus far in the Wayback Machine. Most of the sites mentioning the device, including the TAXAN site itself, are in Japanese, but I was able to find another article in English on this device here (though it doesn't say much):

http://www.itechnews.net/2010/09/19/taxan-meopad-t740-mid-runs-wind...

Looks like they switched over to Android pretty quickly.

That's sad! I loved that site! Bleh
Thanks for finding another link though. That device looks similar to ones I've seen people bring in to sell at work, except those run Android.
