It works on my netbook with CE6, but only the WINDOWS + key work, not the CTRL, SHIFT, or ALT combinations.

Wolfgang,

I don't know if you even remember this, but a long time ago, you made me customized versions of your hotkeys for both my MIPS 2.0 and ARM HPC2000 devices. Your hotkeys provided smart quotes and em dashes for PocketWord, and I use them to this day.

I just wanted to say that I am still grateful for your kindness and your programming,
Jake

Update: Hotkeys does work fine on my CE6 netbook. Here is what you have to do:

When setting the key configuration, click on the "Next Key Typed" button. Then enter CTRL and hold it down. You will see CTRL pop up in the confirmation box area. Now while still holding the CTRL key down, enter the key you want to associate with the CTRL, such as the letter x. The CTRL will disappear and the letter x will now show in the confirmation box area. Click on OK (closing the dialog box) and you will see your saved macro.

I now can set hotkeys for CTRL, WINDOWS, and SHIFT combinations. I can set hotkeys using the ALT key also, but they don't work on my CE6 device...something to do with my platform version Wolfgang tells me.

Hi Rich,

key combinations only with ALT seems to be reserved by the operating system (for menu shortcuts?). A chord sound is played when you define such a shortcut.
Does not work for me too.
