4GB SSD. I got it yesterday. I have not tested it with WiFi yet. Oh, it has a slide-out thumb keyboard. I could put XP on it but probably wouldn't do it.

I bought it (via Craigslist) from a co-founder of a company that cooperated with Intel to explore Atom-based MID market.

Oh baby, this device is incredible. I fully charged it and browsed internet (checked my secured Yahoo mail and other account) for 35 minutes. It had 85% juice left. It allows language switch between English and traditional Chinese. I'm satisfied for now or quite some time to come. 2 pix attached. Enjoy! Happy New Year!

VERY cool and rare find, many congrats! I'd leave the existing OS on it to keep the device original and authentically itself. Love the keyboard. Everything about it looks intriguing. Have mega fun with it!

Yeah I can't even find it on eBay (either Compal, Gigabyte, or Aigo version), so that's hard to find I wonder what the market price should be, but I'm sure CAUser got a very good deal.

As usual Jenn at Pocketables wrote an excellent review for this:
http://www.pocketables.net/2008/10/review-aigo-p88.html

Note the price was $699 at the time.

3 hours of browsing is a bit disappointing (I could do that on the Nexio with ext batt, when both batts were new). Did you have better results?

If you're not putting Windows on it, will you consider Ubuntu?

I would love to have a handheld Ubuntu machine (my definition for "handheld" is something like a Nintendo DS or Sony PSP). But it looks like Atom is still not efficient enough; either battery life is too short or the device is weighted down by a large battery, or both. Guess I'll stick with WinCE/WinMo/WP7 for now.

ok so the cheapest they have is 2000 RMB, which is about 300 CAD or USD. You paid only 1/3 the price of a new one from China!

Yeah, it's a rare chance for me. I constantly check local CL for handheld PC or UMPC. There are so many tech companies here. Sometimes, there are unwanted samples or prototypes.

According to the MAC address of the WiFi module in Linux, I found Arcadyan Technology is the OEM and the chip is Broadcom BCM4312 as the MAC is 00:1D:19:F0:BB:92. However, people have tried many xp drivers for Marvell SD8686 SDIO module to make JAX10 XP edition work. I'm puzzled. Which chip is right?

I have Gigabyte M528, and (surpris) WiFi is working with WinXP. MAC is 00:1d:19:f0:f0:16.
All drivers I found on: http://www.owendia.com/forum/aigo-p8860-mid/softwares-pour-aigo-p88...
But, I need "blueghost" - Aigo control utility from 0xDEADBEEF. Where I can download it?
