I was checking an old thread on a Japanese site, and found a "strict subset of the syntax of the Java language" called Waba. I haven't tried it yet, but it might be an interesting alternative to eMbedded Visual Tools. This is an example of what you can do with Waba.

I've found a few apps that use the SuperWaba virtual machine for CE (2.11), but I haven't figured out how to run them.

I was never able to get it to run properly on my 900C...however, maybe that is just me.

More info on it here: http://www.wabasoft.com/products.shtml

SuperWaba executables are .exe files, not .class files. That's what's confusing - the apps don't seem to run as standalones, and the VM executable doesn't seem to run either.
