Hi,

Dont you think that it would be the best alternative, modern, and with keyboard to run linux?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandora_(console)

To me, yes, replacing the HP at a correct price.

Sony have some but they arent small enough.
Pandora is ideal in terms of size.

Regards

Yes, if I had to replace it that would definitely be my choice but not at the current prices. It begs for some sort of mass produce to bring the cost down at least slightly. It also doesn't technically have instant on.

Anyway, you need to sort out that URL.

FWIW, I have had the Pandora Rebirth and the new 1GHz model.

Both are great little pocket linux computers as well as pocket gaming devices....

Check out forums at OpenPandora Boards....

If you decide to get one and you are in UK, best to get from dragonbox.de.....

If inside USA or Canada, get from ithic.com....

Well, its starting to occur to me that maybe by the use of Microdrives (which are just like HDDs, just in a CompactFlash shell), I could get round the Linux kernel trying to reject devices that it doesn't recognise as HDDs. 6GB models seem to be the highest capacity that is easy to get hold of, and that seems like more than enough in my eyes, though the performance might not be as good as SSDs.
