I updated Analog this morning to 6.0.11 (first time in a year!) which means it was also time to get up to date on HPC:Factor's traffic reports.

In February 2013 for the first time in the sites history (since 1999) MSIE (all versions) has been removed as the top visiting browser by reference to requests to actual pages (thought not quite by hits at this time).

Firefox became dominant to IE in February

In May, June and July it became Firefox > Chrome > IE

IE made it back again in August IE > Firefox > Chrome

but it was back to Firefox > Chrome > IE in September

Wndows XP use is 50% of that of Windows 7's, Windows 7 is more than 50% of alll Windows traffic

Windows 8 is 29% of Windows 7's traffic, Windows 8 is 9% of all Windows traffic

Traffic from Windows CE represents 0.71% of traffic

OS X 10.8 is the most frequent OS X at just under 46% of all OS X traffic
Android 4.1, Android
iPad 6.0 of the iOS bunch closely followed by iPhone 6.0

In September the most visited parts of the site were
Devices & Specifications 0.87% of all traffic
SCL 0.67% (the top App is TCPMP 0.72)
News 0.34%

The most downloaded file group was the CE 3 drivers for the Cisco Aeronet

Do I need to start rationing his access, like a teenager and television?

It's for your own good CE Geek, you'll get square eyes and you need to do your chores first!

I'm still holding my breath that the Arachne browser/DOS 6.22 will sprint to the lead it so richly deserves. With a wifi card no less, I have surfed to hpcfactor.com on Arachne and using Arachne, I pm-ed Chris to tell him of these wonders (he was oddly un-thrilled).

So all you Arachne surfers out there, don't be afraid to strut your stuff and show Firefox what you're made of! Arachne also comes with its own POP mail client. It's that good

I don't think that even appears in my Analog's detection engine, one for 6.0.12. You'll have to remind me

I do not drill into CPU architecture in my Analog release at this time. So I do not have that information. The problem with XP x64 is that it identifies as NT 5.2, which is Server 2003 (because it is Server 2003 x64 in reality, not XP). Thus you cannot distinguish it from 2003 x64.

Suffice it to say, I suspect that it will be fairly nominal.

I don't know why people won't admit to the ultimate stealth browser: the Arachne browser! Except when two female spiders meet up in the dark corner of a nunnery, Arachne doesn't render porn in all its glory, but webmasters will never know you're there!

How many lynx browsers come to HPC:Factor, Chris?

There isn't one. I've made one for you quickly based upon September'straffic (attached).

Hi Jake,

I just padded the lynx numbers, and lurk here from time to time using Lynx or Links. You can't log in though, because the verification code graphic is absent. I still use (al)pine too. So there is still one of us out here.....
