Before you list an item on eBay, put on your reading glasses -

Then again, 'Tornado' wouldn't've been a bad name for an H/PC . . .

Well, the intent with H/PC Pro was to migrate to the VGA and SVGA displays. (Only HP and NEC issued new models with H/PC Pro and 640x240 displays.) That was when SH4 came out. I'm a little surprised that Hitachi didn't try the SH4 with H/PC 2000 or later non-platform core versions of CE. (A few software makers wrote SH4 versions of their programs for CE 4 devices, in anticipation of its continued use in newer devices.) But the SH4 came in with a roar and went out with a whimper (to use another weather expression) shortly thereafter.

I've noticed as I updated the SCL that the SH4 versions of all the apps were always smaller than the SH3 versions, which told me it was somehow optimized and perhaps better?

It seemed like a processor with potential - dunno why Hitachi abandoned the SuperH after the SH4 turned out to be a big improvement over the SH3.
