Well, after half a decade I decided to make a return to the forums, with a new handle as well. But to the point, I've acquired an old iPaq and after some research I can't see much use for it.
*nix support seems to be non-existent and as far as I can tell, even an upgrade to WM2003 isn't quite possible. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do with it? (Aside from a glorified TV remote )

What you can't do is post about it in the H/PC 2000 section. I've never heard of a Pocket PC running a Handheld PC operating system on the surface.

8 things to do with an old pocketpc...by me

1. Glorified remote
2. Ebook reader
3. MP3 Player
4. Simple handheld for playing games
5. Audio note taker/shopping list/address book/PIM tool
6. Buy SD camera and use it for a digital camera

7. With a SD wifi, turn it into a streaming radio player

8. Buy bluetooth GPS adapter and use your Ipaq as a full featured GPS

Hi Rich, Interesting info from you as always. I have a collection of pocket pcs. First, thanks for mentioning SD slot cameras...I didn't know they existed! The main problem I see with this application is the limited visibility of my pocket pc screens in daylight; still I'm going to look into this.

Also, where can I go online to find radio streams that will play on a pocket pc? This would be awesome. Thanks for any information!

Does GSPlayer work on a PPC? That's still the best streamer, I think, for an HPC.

Jake - Many thanks, I'll be sure to look up GSPlayer...even if it doesn't work on Pocket PC, I do have other devices it might work with.

Rich - Thank You! My Dell Axim is now streaming web radio stations! I got the trial version, will be purchasing it. Also, I think I'm about due to donate here!

I do still need to get this Dell playing 3gp and mp4 video...I know it can be done...there's a version of CORE out there that does it.

Thank you again!

Yes, GSPlayer works on the Pocket PC. There's a Pocket PC version, but the H/PC version will work too.
