To psifi,
I have finally got the Miopocket up and running on my Sharp Brain pw-a7000.
You need to download Miopocket for Brain from www.gpspassion.com
I tried the latest version, but it took quite a while to run Miopocket 4.0 release 68
(the latest release
), and things were slow to respond maybe due to the sharp's slow cpu, or maybe due to its usage of only two AA cells.
So I tried downloading an earlier release, Miopocket v2.0 release 39, the earliest one I could find. Only this link and the latest link works, all other releases were dead.
After unzipping the downloaded file
(do it on a PC, it extracts to about 160 Mb plus
).
Copy the entire MioAutoRun folder to root of sdcard, copy MioAutoRun.exe and Mioautorun.mscr also to the root of sdcard.
Create an application folder
(three Japanese characters, literally read "appli"
, and copy Tasks wither and ceOpener folders to this folder.
Insert sdcard into Sharp Brain device, press reset button
(UNDERNEATH
) and wait for it to reload.
When the Dictionary interface load up, click on the "Adding New Applications"
(4th icon on the second row
), you will be presented with two items taskswitcher and ceOpener.
Click on taskswitcher, to find a minibar at the bottom left corner.
Click on My Device to open the windows Explorer.
(If the minibar hides itself, you can click on the CLEAR key, maybe twice, to reveal it
)
Once inside Explorer, go to sdcard and click on MioAutoRun.
The Mio installation will start.
When asked where to install Mio launch files, select NAND4.
Then press reset again.
When the device reloads again, go to windows Explorer, using the steps outlined above, and find LAUNCH.exe in NAND4.
Click on it to run Miopocket and you are DONE.
