So, I have this spare RasPi lying around (running RaspBian) and just for fun I tried if xrdp is compatible with the Terminal Services client on my J720, and well, it works perfectly!

As you can see, it's running in 640x480 resolution, leading to ugly scrollbars.
The Terminal Services Client on WinCE 3.0 has zero options, so I looked if I could somehow restrict the resolutions with xrdp, but no luck there.
xrdp simply supplies whatever resolution the client wants.

Just to see it it works, I connected with my PC, requesting 640x240 resolution, and the RasPi delivered!

Sooo, does anyone know of any Registry keys that contain the resolution that the Terminal Services Client will use? It would be amazing if I could log into my RasPi at native resolution

thanks!

I believe that xrdp defines the resolution.

I can request any resolution I like if I connect from my Windows PC and I'm pretty sure that the Terminal Services Client is requesting the 640x480 resolution, I mean it's also telling xrdp what color depth it needs.

Windows RDP client is able to save settings to RDP file.

Try entering all needed settings, saving them to a file, copying it to Jornada and opening this file with cetsc.exe (CE Terminal Services Client IIRC) on Jornada. It may support configuration files or not.

Bingo!

I only hope that it is same for CE3. But I also think that you may try stealing the RDP client from CE5 or CE4.2 if your own does not work.
