| Good looking machine. Run Softmaker HD on it and you've got a working laptop, it would appear. Have you rooted yours?

| I dont have it yet ( getting it today), & I dont plan on rooting it.... I never actually rooted any of my android devices, Anything i usually would have needed from root is usually available at some point as an apk side load. |

| I haven't rooted my Galaxy S5 yet; so far, it's too complicated to go back to factory restore for warranty work. A rooted phone will give you free wifi tethering, though. Otherwise you have to pay even more each month for the service.

| I have tmobile too. Saw their latest adverts and they have really jacked up their 4G prices--that $10 a line for 2.5GB is a thing of the past.

| Wow. Worse than, say, the Acer C720?

| Is that the one with the Matte screen? If so... Yes much worse, & i actually likes the Matte screen look... it was a matter of it being washed out easy no matter how you tilted it or positioned... You could either see the top well or the bottom well, the rest would wash out no matter how i sat it or i sat....it only tilted back so far... Why make the rest so high quality and skimp on the the touch screen like that? The screen tech in my slate 21 pro is great. |

| Can't imagine what HP was thinking of. Given your dstn roots, you're probably more forgiving than most, so if it can't pass muster with you...

| A lot of people like a screen that has a limited tilt view...keeps what you are doing semi-private when sitting next to someone on the plane...
...of course it is no good if the screen design keeps it semi-private for the user! |

| Yeah there are trade offs, but the boot speed, cooler temps & weight really help when you want to pull it out of the drawer for bedroom time.

| Hacked my Acer C720 (with a screen I pretty much like) to run Bodhi 2.4 w/ custom C720 kernel. When the warranty ran out last week, I disabled write-protect and flashed a new boot setup. C720 now goes to Bodhi in same speed it went to Chrome. But no more Chrome, which is okay by me, but maybe not for others.
