Hi i have a problem with loading of Winampaq on my Alpine PMD-B200P WinCE 4.20 ARM based navigator.

when i try to run the exe it says: Cannot find Winampaq(or ono of its components) Make sure the path and filename are correct and th all the required libraries are available.

I read around the net there is a utility called execheck but i cannot find it..

Any advice?

Thankyou

Now run execcheck on the mfcce300.dll and see what it is missing. Probably the olece300.dll...

BTW, the \windows folder is where you put all .dll (driver) files normally.

Also, usually it requires a warm reset to register the driver...

WinamPAQ does require mfcce300.dll. But you have to make sure that it's the right version, as there's an H/PC 2000 version as well as a Pocket PC version. WinamPAQ also comes in both H/PC 2000 and Pocket PC versions, so you have to match versions of mfcce300.dll to the corresponding version of WinamPAQ. Which version are you using for each? (Also, it's perfectly fine to put the DLLs in the same folder with WinamPAQ, and probably a good idea in your case since your device dumps installed files from \Windows every time you reboot the device.)

Rich, running Executability Check on mfcce300.dll won't tell anything about olece300.dll. It's the application itself that may or may not require olece300.dll in addition to mfcce300.dll.

Did you try the HPC2000 version or the Sig version? Both are ARM builds, but the Sig is for CE.NET.

This website's download area has versions for both HPC2000 and the Sigmarion III, which is a CE.NET 4.2 hardware device. That version is designed to work with the native drivers found in CE.NET 4.2.

Slight correction, Rich: the Sigmarion III is a Windows CE .net 4.1 device. (That version should work fine in a CE 4.2 device, though; however, that version needs mfcce400.dll rather than mfcce300.dll.)

I got the same error when I tried the Pocket PC version on a CE 5 netbook - but the app still worked fine after I clicked OK on the error. I opened up an MP3 file and it played without a problem.

Renaming mfcce400.dll to mfcce300.dll won't work - they're two different files.
