Mother's Day

Boy, am I glad it comes only once a year...this morning my mama got dizzy and fell, hit the track on the sliding patio door and cut her head wide open to the bone, about 4-5 inches long...blood everywhere. Living room looks like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre...

Spent hours in the ER after getting an ambulance to take her...has a subdural hemorrhage that they are watching in the observation unit...had to transfer her 50 miles away because we don't have a local neurologist at our rinky-dinky hospital...

Hope everyone else's was better than mine...

I wish my mom were still with us. Cancer took her three years ago.

She's still in the hospital...for some reason she cannot stand without passing out...going to have more CAT scans today...thanks...

Good news for mama. Her subdural hematoma quit bleeding, they gave her a unit of blood to replace what she lost...she is now in a nursing home for 6 weeks for rehab and to get her strength back.

That means I can now head south to the gulf coast for my annual goofing off with my brother-in-law and 40 days of fishing....

Am leaving Monday, won't be on here much for the next month....but will post fish pictures as I haul them in. Still looking to catch a mermaid for a purely platonic relationship...I would never take advantage of such an innocent creature.

Certainly not if your wife has anything to say about it . . .
