I am new to this forum and am hoping to revive my collection of HPCs and PDAs but I cant seem to find the right hardware in my position. I want to ask about this PCMCIA card I bought at my local Maplin (Techie Shop). It is meant to connect me to ethernet but I cannot find a driver or any solution please help. I am using a hp jornada 720 with windows ce 2000

That's probably because it's a CardBus card, which is not supported in any version of Windows CE. Sorry.

Ahh Thanks,
I was reading an article about the difference between 32-Bit and 16-Bit PCMCIA cards. I shall return it in a few days.

Thankyou for clearing it up!

Can I ask if this is suitable.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/141814842319?limghlpsr=true&hlpv=2&o...

As the port at the front is not rj-45 port but i believe there is one on the side, what is the more rounded port at the end?

Many Thanks

Jason

The one you refer to looks like it has a coaxial cable jack instead of RJ-45.

I I were you, I'd not risk buying a card before you know it's compatible or it will be a waste of money.

Take a look at this list of compatible Ethernet Cards for your Handheld PC 2000 Jornada 720.

I happen to have a card called BUFFALO LPC3-CLT that works on your Jornada 720.

I can send it for free, as I don't own Handheld PCs that use PC Cards right now.

PM me if you're interested.
