Both work fine, but I like the optical mouse better, as it takes less physical effort/coordination than pushing the trackpoint around.
No need
(at least for me...
) to dd linux from Pocket. I use a USB flash drive that I formated and created LinuxMint 19
(with Cinnamon
) install on it using Rufus. Have found this to be quite easy and reliable way to do linux installs.
Also, like LM distro as it seems to install nicely and find various hardware bits on laptops
(generally speaking
), and install necessary drivers. Only thing that not working is audio. Need to fiddle with that driver-wise.
My other distro likes are Debian and Arch
(although can be more of a pain to install and get all the hardware bits working sometimes
).
Yes, really like having backlit keyboard option.
