After researching for about an hour, I found something H/PC like albeit it running Android 4.0.

It is Seiko Instruments Inc. (SII)'s
DAYFILER
DF-X9000 & DF-X8000.

Both are electronic dictionary sold here in Japan.

Interesting blog entry in Japanese: http://d.hatena.ne.jp/nyanonon/20130126#p3

It seems you can install .apk files via microSD & WiFi, and WiFi is available on both models.

Oh no problems. My misunderstanding.

Yes, I think I will buy it if I can get it at low cost.

I will post a detailed review when I manage to get one.

Cheers!

What kind of processor does it have? If it's WM8850, we can flash WEC 7 on it.

From an information source, it seems the DF-X9000 has:

CPU:FreeeScale i.MX535(1GHz)

Geekbench result I found:
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/compare/2796020?baseline=...

According to a review on Amazon.co.jp:

(AnTuTu Benchmark v2.4.2: CPU model:ARMv7 Processor(VFPv3 NEON) CPU frequency:400.0-1000.0MHz)
(URSafe CPU Monitor: Total cores:1 Processor:ARMv7 Processor rev5(v7l) BogoMIPS:999.42)

I'm not really sure which is the correct spec for the CPU! lol

I have a 3D printer so maybe printing something is the way to go...

I have a Raspberry Pi, it's real slow surfing, so I think I'd want a little more horsepower...

Something off this list perhaps?
http://www.zdnet.com/pictures/10-alternatives-to-the-raspberry-pi/

Then gui wise, I'd have to decide if I am going back to the 200LX days, or the sigmaronIII/jornada days... that would drive the size of the screen!

I'd also have to decide if I am doing an all in 1 pc, with an external keyboard, or if I am going to do a clamshell with a tiny keyboard.

But it looks like if we want an HPC, we are going to have to build it ourselves...

Mike...

You mean like this.......

Size comparison with Fujitsu U/G90 (US model UH900) and Sharp Zaurus SL-C3200:

As you can see, it is very pocketable computer!

And here's just the GPD WIN:

Works great with Win 10.

In process of getting linux sorted out on it....dual booting it with Win 10.

Currently have Manjaro linux (based upon Arch...) installed. Runs great except for display is turned 90 degrees sideways. This is due to fact that GPD used a tablet display and did some things in Windows to rotate screen.

A few people have managed to rotate display correctly in linux, but for some unknown (yet...) reason, I haven't been able to do it yet....but hope to figure it out soon.

Got mine from dragonbox.de in Germany......excellent service. Was shipped from Germany and received it here in California in 2 days.

Please note I am not a gamer, so, have not tried any games on it....just using it as a pocket computer.

Mike...

Thanks for your help, Mike...

I didn't share all the attempts I've made so far to get screen rotated correctly....

I tried the following, which should have rotated screen 90 degrees (and worked for some others...) :

$ xrandr -o right

But in my case (and same with some other people too...), display turns black after running command.

To debug, I need to ssh into the WIN from my Fujitsu, that is dual booting Win 10 and Linux Mint 18 and retrieve some logs after screen has turned black.

Then I can get some input from linux gurus I know.

Have had some issues being able to connect the two....but hope to get that fixed soon and then get more input.
