I just picked up a Fujitsu U810 and I'm having a ton of fun with it.

As for cases, a Neoprene zippered sleeve for an external dvd/cd drive works, but I'd rather have a soft case that fully opens.

The Elecom ZeroShock III seems long-gone, though the company is in business. A hard case is too bulky, but has anyone ever seen a soft case for dvd drive that unzips three sides?

Just wonderin'

You need one similar to the one on this page

You could pull the sleeves out...

That might work, though I wonder what kind of padding is in the case itself. I remember jerry-rigging an accordion-type letter filer into an hpc case; I left a couple of sleeve on either side for protection.

Thanks, Rich,

I once bought a DVD storage case, you know the type, the ones that hold 2 DVDs per page. Well I took out the inserts, and cut a couple rectangular pieces of 1/2" thick soft foam rubber and glued them to the front and back covers on the inside using silicone adhesive.

It turned out to be the perfect Mobilepro sized case...and had enough room for the a/c adapter as well. Total cost was like $6.

Well done. The same kind of case fit my '98 Vaio Picturebook to a tee, with extended battery.
