Ever think about starting your own website? HPC.com is now up for sale. It used to be some hospital group that is now defunct. Minimal asking price is $100,000 USD.

Also HandhelpPC.com is up for sale for the low price of $10,000.

Here's your chance

Rich,

I think nowadays, you can get almost any domain names with domains that aren't .com.
For example, .io, .cc, .online, .biz, .online .co etc. and that's the trend these days.

And the price at $100,000? It will probably take years to be able to cover that cost! lol....

.com domains were worth a lot and probably it still is in some cases, but not as much as it used to be.

I think I can cover the costs given enough time… probably tale me 1000 years. Guess I'll stick to .net and .org suffixes…

Meanwhile, hpc.net is still standing even though it's been dormant for 15 years - and windowsce.com still redirects to it.

Why would I want a site called HandhelpPC.com?

HPC = High Performance Computing. It's why I get so many scummy requests for this domain.

HPC as in high performance computing is a cool field in this big data time...

but to justify a $100,000 price tag? not for me. (I can't afford it lol) but it is worth a lot for high performance computing guys! (like IBM, Cray, Fujitsu, Dell, etc.)
