cmonex,
you mentioned that there's a schematic in one of the forum thread.
each time i try to search the forum, i run into the following:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e31'

Timeout expired

/forums/search/query.asp, line 212
any idea what's happening?
could never find the information this way...

set the date to the 2005 range, and the forum section to ce.net and stuff like that

You can search the posts but need to limit it with some parameters.

It's really challenging to be specific if one does not know what the title/message says.
The whole idea of search is that you throw anything at it, it fetches the contents based on the limits defined by the search query.
In this case, I type bsquare power handheld schematics.
What do you recommend?
"bsquare power handheld schematics"?
or
bsquare+power+handheld+schematics?
I welcome any suggestion.

Does the silence signify the end of the line for this effort to 'crack' the persistent password problem for the PHH?

I buy my device from UK. This is answer an Vodafone UK.

"Thanks for your email to Vodafone about your phone. I'd like to explain.

I regret to inform that we do not support the product in the UK. You will need to contact the country from where you got the phone from so that they can assist further."

no update, i've not had any time at all to look at it again. but it seems i'll have some free days soon i'll need someone with such a bricked bsquare device, who can test stuff.

again to sum up, we can try:

1) flash a modified OS which doesn't ask for password - very easy to mod the OS after we find out how to flash it at all
2) find password calc routine - well hidden so far :/

one idea right now for option 1). as i said the bootloader tests for several key combinations, all of them consist of two keys.

i've not had the chance to try all combinations on mine. i understand the disassembled code but i don't have the physical wiring of the keyboard (i'm not disassembling the hardware of my bsquare for this), so either someone provides me with a wiring or try all combinations, if you feel like trying

the known ones are
B+C hard reset
U+D usb download (which won't be useful for us as we do not have the PC side program for downloading the OS over usb. i doubt platform builder can handle USB, something else is needed to emulate it for PB, and this is what we are missing here)
S+D or S+R i forget right now , this i think looks for a SD card, which sounds promising. but whatever it looks for if it doesn't find it, it will hard reset just like B+C.

please help get more key combinations, iirc there are five or six in total - i'll check disasm again
