| Hello!
Does anyone know where I can get these two DLLs?
inkx.dll
richink.dll
I tried several of these fake DLL packages, but these DLLs where not in there, unfortunately!
Also I tried to unpack some dumped ROMs from xda-developers FTP. I unpacked DLLs from a HTC Himalaya ROM as it has a PXA255 processor as well. But when I copy the two DLLs into my NETBOOK PRO's Windows folder, Executability Check still reports invalid DLLs.
Is there something else I have to do? |

| sorry but other than acquiring a copy of platform builder for CE 3.0 you don't have much hope. maybe not even PB 3.0 has these dll's.
also, you cannot use a system dll from a rom dump. sorry.
what program do you need this for? |

| I need the DLLs for IM+.
The Shapeservices' support told me that it would run on CE.NET handhelds, also. But obviously it won't... |

| IM+ doesnt need these. find the IM+ thread, there's one here. and yes i think it will work with a little hacking. maybe you just need a cellcore.dll (get it from my site ) |

| Sorry, but even Platform Builder 3.0 does not have these. They are only in Handheld PC 2000/Pro/Palm Size PC/Pocket PC. |

IM+ version 3.0 works pretty fine and connects to the messaging networks. you should ask shapeservices for a build of it |

| Interesting dummy file, I tried it on my 900C with Calcnote. It allowed the program to run and the calculator now works fine...just the notepad part doesn't display properly...still, it's the best richink.dll I've seen yet for this thing...

| This dll also works on HPC2000: I tested it on my Jornada 710. That's a very nice addition to the dummy dll collection !
Thanks a lot marxx !
Can you also make a dummy inkx.dll ? |

| I have modified this dummy dll to make a dummy inkx.dll: it works !!!
We can certainly run many more PPC applications on HPCs (a lot of graphic apps require inkx.dll or richink.dll). Try the attached dll. |

| Nice to hear that it works and thanx for the inkx.dll
The dll does not do anything at all:
RICHINKAPI int WINAPI InitRichInkDLL()
{
return TRUE;
}
RICHINKAPI DWORD CALLBACK EditStreamCallback(DWORD dwCookie, LPBYTE pbBuff, LONG cb, LONG* pcb)
{
return ERROR_SUCCESS;
}
It just returns "TRUE" to a function call. That's why some parts of a program that uses the dll won't display correct.
But hey, it works
