| Cingular was listed on the Smartbook site as the only American user, They now have Quad band service- 850/900/1800/1900 MHz , and went yesterday and they said yes. I just need to get data service sim card to use it on both computer and phone.

| Thx Ceya for the heads up... I thought it was impossible to provide other frequencies here in N America. I'll definitely look into it. We don't have Cingular in Canada, but I do use AT&T. If we get that frequency in our city maybe I'll buy a Bsquare too |

| Any chance of posting a picture of the "Run" dialog (dont ask ), thanks |

I will look more into this for you. At&T and Cingular are the same company now , even though they have their own sections still like Sprint and Nextel ( hey merged together also )

| I have put drivers, the latest CE 4.2 English flash image, manuals etc onto a CD with the sale devices.
I have also put iPhone and the PDF manual on the CF card's. They will all be made available to download from HPC:Factor at some point in the near future also.
I must admit that I hadn't heard of this quad-band broadcasting until I read your post. I had always been under the impression that the reason why we have different bandings was down to regukatory bodies, assigning certain bands to existing purposes - like the 802.11 frequency kerfuffel. So it genuinely surprises me to hear that there is a company offering services on all four bands in one place and all under the same regulatory body (presumably the FCC). Very interesting! |

| Smartbook Customer service was excellent for me. I emailed two reps and had some what confusing answers but I got one who assigned a rep to me and got all parts I needed (Sync cable and new battery).
It seems that they don't have ac adapter for US you have to go get one.

| well if the ac adapter can do 110v (i'll check ), you just have to buy a little plug adapter for cheap. oh wait, not even that, just an ac cord which has a us plug. |

| I specifically provided a good screen shot of the power brick for this reason. The base plate states that is is NOT dual-voltage.
Sync cable is a standard USB to Micro USB cable, you can pick them up almost anywhere if needed. I've been using my cell phone's cable. |

| O.o it shouldn't have been, weirdness, must be the one that got away
I'm not in front of my email tonight so I cannot email it over to you at the moment, I don't think it's one the main servers yet either. I'll get it sent tomorrow evening.
Update: I had it on the CF in the one that's out with me, I FTP'd it up to the server for you, please check your PM. |

System Specifications:- Windows CE .net 4.2 (4.1 can be provided)
...
If you want CE 4.1, I can provide the image - I can also provide go-back images to get the device up to 4.2 again.
What is exactly the difference between CE.net 4.1 and 4.2? |
