H/PC Desktops Thread

The brown parts surrounding the icon text are sharper in real life. At one point I had a completely brown desktop background with a camouflage Handheld PC 2000 logo, but I switched to tiles. I'm never going to get my perfect theme anyway, but it is basically cream and brown.

I was also going to upload an image of my Ericsson MC16's desktop but unfortunately it crashed with Resinfo, SP1 NSP, Reversi, Minesweeper, and Prism 2.5 driver overloading the system and it kept on resetting itself, combined with a Compact Flash I nearly (sooo close!), managed to save the image to. Just as the 640x240 image was being copied to the card, it soft resetted itself after so many attempts. I'm not trying again. I don't even feel like using the Ericsson again as it will no longer charge (although it can use alkalines), and system instability. I might be going off topic now.

Well since I couldn't find out how to upload these to the gallery I thought I'd post them here. I get bored easily and the first thing I do then is finish up some work and then hit photoshop (if the work didn't already require PS.)

They're 640x240 in PNG format coming in at a whopping 450kb each. (BMP versions can be had, just let me know.)

I just made an H/PC 2000 wallpaper using Paint.Net. It's fire-themed. I'm not too experienced with image editing, but I think I did a pretty good job:

I'm still waiting for my Jornada 680 in the mail, but just thought I'd share a nice little 1-Bit image for all of you out there with a Mono H/PC!

(Well, Photoshop told me it was 1-Bit!)

You can do 4-bit GSI on the H/PC to cater for all mono devices, some will support 16-bit GSI.

Very tropical though (there is a CESD in support with photoshop colour tables for them)

Well, being in a very creative mood today and after following C:Amie's advice and getting the Photoshop colour things...
Here's a lovely GTA IV wallpaper that should look great in 256 colours!

I was actually surprised how good this looks given the limited colours available!
