That is, noobs who can solder without hosing the whole device (I'm particularly skilled at ruining H/PCs with a soldering iron).

lol, well, you only solder to these pins at the edge, can't hose the device itself.


edit: i forgot to say, if you want to see if your bootloader got corrupt then first do this command:

readmem 0x0 0x80000 bootloader.dump

one last thing, damn, can't edit my posts anymore

i experimented more with jtagging now, eraseflash works properly even on second chip

so no need to make different workaround for 900c's previously flashed with cmonex v2.0

for those 900c's (only for those 900c's) just do: eraseflash 0x01F00000 4

after that you should quit jtagtools and reload it then you can flash using the described workaround

and i know what to change in jtagtools code so it'll work somewhat better until i recompile it, this workaround works anyway,.

As sw/hw hardware hacker I almost feel sorry for not having a bricked 900C to flash.
cmonex, this is another impressive piece of work.

(To forestall any hints - I won't write FFFF to my bootloader just to .... )
