As midnight falls hour by hour accross the globe, spare a thought this evening come 5pm Pacific Standard Time on the West Coast of the United States.

Earlier in the month NEC formally announced the withdrawal of the MobilePro 900 series, effectivly ending both the MobilePro line and the HVGA clamshell dynasty in the stroke of a pen.
From close of Buisness Pacific time tonight, users will no longer be able to order the MobilePro 900 or 900C, along with formal availability of accessories or extended warranty applications.

While NEC Soloutions America (NECSAM) plan to honour existing warranty arrangements, and extended warranty arrangements, the flagship mobile device line will no longer be considered an active product.
With thanks to Rich Hawley of HPCNEC.com for assistance with information.
