Those of you who have been following the Exemptionware project since its inception in 2009 may have noticed that we have increased the number of developers who have signed up to the project significantly in recent months.

We are very pleased to announce the latest developer to join the programme is Wolfgang Maichen, creator of a number of music and music composition related applications for Windows CE.

Wolfgang has kindly released 5 of his previously commercial titles to the community under the usual "rights reserved", no support expressed or implied Exemptionware model.

MidNote
Write great pieces in standard music (staff) notation! Fully graphical edit and score display using drag-and-drop, up to 10 tracks per piece, advanced musical editing functions, MIDI support (import and export), drums, chords, lyrics, and many other features!

PDR Mixer
Use PDR Mixer to create a new sound set for PocketDrums: PocketDrums needs a set of wave files with all possible combinations of the drum sounds (more exactly, all those combinations where no more than three drums are active).

PocketDrums
A professional drum sequencer for the PocketPC You can even export your tracks to MIDI format and use them in MidNote or PocketSynth Pro!

PocketSynth Pro
A full-fledged piano synthesizer with integrated chord and pattern editors, full MIDI support, and many other advanced features!

Strummer
Play and record great guitar music on your handheld! Several additional sounds (piano, analog synthesizer, distorted guitar) are available for download from this site.

The 5 titles, MidNote 2.2, PDR Mixer 1.0, PocketDrums 1.1, PocketSynth Pro 4.2 and Strummer 1.2 can be downloaded immediately and for free from the HPC:Factor Software Compatibility List (SCL).

Our thanks to Wolfgang Maichen for his generosity.
