The book opens with an introduction to the concept of Object Oriented Programming in the C++ environment. The first few chapters focus entirely on the C++ programming language and the features that distinguish it from the C language. The subsequent chapters cover the concept of documents, forms, views, threads and templates that form an integral part of VC++. This also helps in giving an insight into the programming behind the most common items like the dialog box, toolbar, status bar etc.The last section of the book concentrates on topics like database operations using ODBC, the Class Wizard and exception handling.
