This article provides information on how to hard reset the SmartBook G138 and either have it reboot or power off.

The G138 supports a hardware based hard reset combination.

WARNING: If you follow this procedure all data on your G138 will be lost

To hard reset and have the device reboot back into Windows CE

  1. Push and hold down the reset button on the left hand side of the screen with the stylus nib
  2. Press and release the power button

To hard reset and have the device power off completely without going through the boot sequence

  1. Push and hold down the power button
  2. Press and hold down the reset button on the left hand side of the screen with the stylus nib
