The Microsoft PowerPoint97 on-device converter allows you to open PowerPoint97 files directly on your device, without having to first convert it using Windows CE Services.
Usage Instructions
------------------
To open a PowerPoint97 file using the converter, do the following:
1. Open an Explorer window on the device into the folder that has the PPT97 file
- or -
Open an email message with a PPT97 attachment
2. Open the file by double-tapping or double-clicking
3. Select the location to save the resulting Pocket PowerPoint file
The converter will then display a progress meter, convert the file, and launch
Pocket PowerPoint to display the presentation.
Converter Limitations
---------------------
The PowerPoint97 on-device converter does not convert the following elements:
- Office97 drawing objects (with the exception of rectangles, which are converted)
- Borders of Office97 drawing object rectangles
- Windows Metafile (.wmf) images
- OLE objects with Windows Metafile (.wmf) previews
The following elements are partially converted:
- Gradient-filled rectangles are converted to solid-filled rectangles
- Lines with spacing less than 1 are converted to lines spaced 1 line apart
- Transparent images are converted, but lose their transparency
