Overview:
1. Contents of modification
This "Update Modules 1" program fixes and improves the following problems.
(1) When you start Jot Keyboard, some dots may be displayed on the screen.
(2) When you tap Start and then Help , you can not select "Jot" from the help index.
(3) After starting a lot of programs at the same time or a program that get a lot of program memory, the free program memory size will become low, and then "Program memory is Low" message may appear. In this case, you can not operate anything by stylus pen.
(4) When you are hard to hear the sound by noise or you can not hear the sound, you can hear the sound by powering down the Handheld PC and then powering up the Handheld PC again.
2. Instructions
2.1 Installing the program through your desktop PC Execute the following instructions on your desktop PC.
(1) Double click "updt1pc.exe" on Explorer.
(2) WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box appears. Change "Unzip To Folder" to the expected folder if you need.
(3) Click "Unzip" button and then 14 files are extracted.
(4) Connect the serial cable between your desktop PC and Handheld PC. See Part 1 "Hardware Setup", 4.4.2 "Installing the Windows CE Services and Connecting Them to a Computer" in user's guide.
(5) Double click "setup.exe" on Explorer.
(6) Follow the installation as the setup wizard appears on a screen. After the installation, press the RESET switch on the bottom side of your Handheld PC with the stylus pen.
The installing "Update modules 1" is completed.
2.2 Installing the program directly on your Handheld PC Execute the following instructions on your desktop PC.
(1) Double click "updt1ce.exe" on Explorer.
(2) WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box appears. Change "Unzip To Folder" to the expected folder if you need.
(3) Click "Unzip" button and then 3 files are extracted.
(4) Read license.txt file (software license agreement) extracted surely.
(5) Copy all files extracted to PC card or CF card on your desktop PC.
Execute the following instructions on Handheld PC.
(6) Insert PC card or CF card.
(7) Double tap "cesetup.exe" in "Storage Card1" or "Storage Card2" on Explorer.
(8) Follow the installation as the setup wizard appears on a screen. After the installation, press the RESET switch on the bottom side of your Handheld PC with the stylus pen.
The installing "Update modules 1" is completed.
