Overview:

This registry patch will allow HP Jornada 720 users to avoid problems when installing applications
on their device. The patch fixes the problem, where under certain situations, the Jornada 720 is
recognized as a PocketPC, instead of a Handheld PC Professional Device.
This leads to incorrectly installed applications that fail to execute properly - if not at all - under
the Jornada 720.

The problem is related to Microsoft ActiveSync and to the Jornada device. HP broke
the Handheld PC specifications, and forgot to include a registry value, that is needed by ActiveSync
in order to correctly identify the device. That is the reason why so many new applications, fail to
run correctly on the device.

Installation
Copy the supplied .cab file, using your desktop PC, to your Jornada and double-click on it under H/PC
Explorer. This will install the patch, together with this document. The patch will not take up space on
your device memory.

Uninstallation
In case something goes wrong, the patch is 100% reversible.
Just uninstall it using the Remove programs control panel applet.
