Overview:
PA-2400 shuts down the power or resets by itself when a program which accesses the screen rapidly and intensely runs for the bench-mark test.
Cause of the Problems:
When the LCD module is accessing to VRAM, and CPU sends a command to the same VRAM, the LCD module replies with "wait" signal returning to the CPU. This wait signal is to make the CPU wait until the LCD module finishes accessing the VRAM. But, it is due to the limitation on SH3 (the CPU in PA-2400), the CPU works incorrectly when it receives such the reply at a timing of asynchronous mode.
How to solve the problems:
The LCD module needs to send wait signal to the CPU when the CPU is in synchronous mode. To achieve this, the patch file will change the wait signal command with one wait cycle to 3 wait cycles so that the CPU will have time to wait longer and acquire the synchronous mode at least once during the period.
How to install the patch file:
1. Reset the PA-2400 fully (with full reset mode). Then connect it to your PC.
2. Copy DDI.DLL file windows folder of PA-2400 directory through HPC Explorer.
3. Reset (not with full reset mode) the PA-2400.
Windows CE Compatibility:
Windows CE 2.00 (Handheld PC 2.0)
