Overview:

vbceTaskBar - Task Bar Control

vbceTaskBar allows you to disable and enable the task bar. You can use vbceTaskBar to prevent users from accessing the Start Menu, making your application the only one that can be run on the device.

You should be careful in your use of the task bar disable feature. When the task bar is disabled the user will not have access to the SIP. Some users have implemented vbceSoftKeyboard and manually show and hide the SIP as needed. Also, make sure you re-enable the SIP prior to exiting the application, or the user will be forced to restart the device!

Unfortunately, I've had to temporarily remove the ShowBanner, ShowTime, ShowDate and AutoHide properties. Check the FAQ for ways to detect these settings via the registry.

vbceTaskBar offers the following methods:

Disable
Enable

You can implement the task bar control as follows:

Dim taskBar
Set taskBar = CreateObject("vbceTaskBar.vbceTaskBar")

taskBar.Disable
taskBar.Enable
