Known/Reported Problems
WinCE 2.0 users trying to restore the Contacts Database and other ActiveSync databases have reported that they were unable to restore them. You MUST disable synchronization prior to attempting to restore such databases. To do this, from the Mobile Devices program menu, click Tools and select ActiveSync Options... The ActiveSync options property sheet will be displayed. Make sure that the Enable Synchronization checkbox is not checked and then click Apply. You can then restore the databases. Remember to reset the option after restoring the databases.
