Overview:
These portrait mode drivers allow applications to be displayed in one of three orientations, 90 degrees to the right, 90 degrees to the left or upside-down from the preset "landscape" mode. The standard Microsoft CE O/S PIMS, do not function correctly in the portrait mode. All portrait applications must be written for this display orientation. This product is NOT "rotation" capable. A reset must be performed to switch back to the landscape presentation mode. These drivers are being distributed by Casio Business Solutions on an unsupported basis and are not part of the standard Microsoft CE operating system.
- DDI_90.DLL, displays application 90 degrees to the right (toward the PCMCIA card slot)
- DDI_270.DLL, displays application 90 degrees to the left (toward the AC power connector and communication cable connector)
- DDI_180.DLL, displays application upside-down
This driver can not work on PA-2400U.
Portrait Mode Driver installation instructions for CASIO PA2400W
A. Synchronize
1. Connect PA2400W to PC
2. Open "Mobile Devices" folder on PC
3. After Synchronizing PA2400W with PC, select Windows Folder in MY Handheld PC on HPC
B. Copy
1. Change the name of DDI_90.DLL/DDI_270.DLL/DDI_180.DLL to DDI.DLL
2. Copy Portrait Mode Driver (DDI.DLL) on PC
3. Paste driver to the Widows Folder on PA2400W
4. Your PC will display the following questions
a) "No converter has been selected for this file...... respond by clicking "OK" button.
b) "This folder already contains system file called DDI.DLL (Driver) ...... respond by clicking "YES" button.
C. Reset
1. After you finish the Copy procedure press the RESET button on the back of the PA2400W with the stylus.
2. Press the power "on " button to restart the PA2400W
D. Recalibration:
1. Simultaneously depress both the soft keyboard button and backlight buttons on the upper left side of the face of the PA2400W.
2. Calibrate the screen by tapping the plus signs.
3. The PA2400W is now functional in the Portrait Display Mode
