| takwu,
Actually PS is correct. There were only three people using the alt views.
You should be getting email. I know that I have 160 board messages sitting in my inbox this morning o.O |

| I've got mail! Thanks
Well if two of the three people using other views are me logged on and me as a guest, then ok just ignore me for now
Now let's get the PM going... Just to give you some adequate pressure Edited by takwu 2006-02-17 2:03 PM

| I checked before making the decision. There were three REGISTERED users using it. Guests have no rights in this (nearish ) democoracy
The PM works... so... er... what are you referring to? |

| Yeah, C:Amie sent me a PM earlier just to see if I would jump when blaring red letters appeared in the corner of my eye, announcing it.
Nearish democracy? If this were a democracy, we wouldn't have a sidebar. (Ok, ok! I'll stop!...until I boot 3.11 again ) |

| I think you'll find PS that the majority vote to actually be able to navigate around the site |

| Mmm, ok I'll try PM again. It didn't work before and it was reported in this thread, so I guess I was waiting for an announcement of it being fixed
About the horizontal scrolling... well I think everyone has been waiting for that to be fixed since the beginning. A lot of users were asking things like "how come this site doesn't look good on my Jornada" etc. Who'd have thought it would get worse with v2 Now I have to scroll in my Smartbook too (800x480 ). Are you trying to push us into buying the JVC MP-C33? |

As I've said 100 times now, this is the PC UI not the H/PC UI.
I must have missed your comment on the PM, however there has never been an issue with it that I have seen or anyone else has reported. |

| Oh well, it was working a matter of minutes after I enabled V2, and it's working now. That's all I can say on the matter. |

didnt experience problems with PM's (or i just don't know what important PM's i might have missed )
oh, also i found a little bug with smileys. if i use two of the same kind, then the second one isn't displayed. (only its code ). this way: Edited by cmonex 2006-02-18 8:18 PM

| I'm sorry people, but I have not had a single problem with IE, Firefox or anything.
I've tried it with IE 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 7.0 and FF1.5.
I suggest that you try clearing out your Cookies / History / Temporary Internet Files in case you have V1 cookies left which haven't expired yet.
Unless I can reproduce it, I can't look to fix it or log it as a kernel bug so have to assume that it is a fluke session issue on your end until I see evidence to the contrary.
I can't reproduce the emoticon issue either (though I see it ). I would suggest that it may be Opera or browser encoding. Once you get back to IE give it a try some time when you post and see if it still happens.
In Internet Exploer it is being entered with a double vbnbsp, where as your post above only has a single - causing the issue. |
