| Thread moved to the new HPC:Factor Related Discussion forum
Please note that the board may be running a little slow for the next hour or so as I am re-indexing it due to a content error. |

Facinating... the CESD New & Updated and the Latest forum post lists on the FP have swapped over O.o CESD is now at the top :/
I have added that to my bugs list.
Darn - I was hoping you did that on purpose, so that newcomers would realize that their is more to HPC Factor than these forums! |

| Hmm, this new forum section, "HPC:Factor Related Discussion" sounds to me the superset of "News and Editorial". Any chance you'd consider merging the two? |

| No, the new section is specifically for discussion related to HPC:Factor - not anyone else. Hence 'HPC:Factor related'...
Problems with the website, minor announcements, questions about the site, ideas and bugs.
News is related to other people - usually. |

| I see... I was just a bit confused 'cause both News and Editorials and Reviews section have a lot of HPC:Factor related threads. |

| Reviews is for reviews. The news section has not been stripped out - and will not be - from an old content perspective. I reserve the right to post major announcements about the site as news either on the BBS or FP. That's the point of a news section |

| some bug report here: maybe its just that the search isnt working perfectly now but regardless of that i've had this suspicion for a while: it will not find some stuff even though the stuff is there and i used the right keywords etc.
but now found an example where i'm 100% sure.
try it:
this thread: http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=6058&pos...
has a post from me from 09/22/2006,
i mentioned the word bootloader in that post
now if you try to search for this, it will not be found.
poster name: cmonex
date: between 09/01/2006 and 09/30 or something like that
and keyword: bootloader
sorry if the bug of not finding some stuff is known. didnt see it.
....other than this, search works well for me Edited by cmonex 2007-07-26 1:01 PM

| Again not sure if this bug has been reported before, so here goes:
The "View previous thread" and "View next thread" linked list (?) doesn't make sense to me. For example, thread 9926's previous thread is 9467, which is over a month older in terms of last post. And then 9467's previous thread is 7, which is an ancient thread that happens to be updated more recently than 9467. 7's previous is also 7, and I suspect it goes into a self link.
How does it work? I can't help but think this is a random relationship. Bug? |

| takwu, i would think it is not a bug. this previous/next thread is only to be interpreted within the subforum you are in. the thread 7 is the last thread here because it is sticky. other than that, the newest thread will self link to itself if there are no sticky threads. the previous is always the one that is the least old after the current thread. the next is the one that is the least new before the current thread. all that within the subforum, for example HPC:Factor Related Discussion. |

| This is a stupid bug, I know.
Anyway: the title of a thread of mine looks perfectly in the HPC General Discussion Page "The most cool PPC program you've got to work on your HPCs (Pages: 1, 2)"
While has same strange characters in the Forums main page "Re: The most cool PPC program you..." |
