Hello! I'm new in this forum and my native language
is french.
I have a Compaq C140 with WinCE 1.0
and I really have problem to find interesting programs
for it. I also have a Psion 5mx pro that is very good.
I think that a psion is better than a WinCE 1.0 device
because there are a lot of programs for the psion. My
psion is 36mhz and feel a lot faster (even when I play
mp3 songs on it) than the 40mhz Compq C140.
I would like to know what do you think of that and if
possible, write where to find WinCE 1.0 programs or
things that you can do with Windows CE 1.0 device.
yeah the 5mx is better than ce 1.0
thats my experience too...
i think this changes after ce 2.11. (2.0 also knows some things that epoc doesnt)

The Psion is far superior. I can keep entire books open on the Psion which would flatten a Pocket PC (I have a 5mx and a HTC Charmer/T-mobile MDA Compact II running WM5)
But tell me...how do you play mp3s on a Psion? Can you get an audio output signal...to be used in an amplifier or headphones??

Yes i can help you to play mp3 on your 5mx!
The program that I use is EplayM.
Just type bioeddies on google and you will certainly find it on the
bioeddies site.
I modded my psion by removing the internal speaker and I installed
a normal headphone plug. It sound like a telephone a bit but it's cool!
For me the Psion products are very superior to the others. I had one Psion Revo Plus, one Series 7 and one netbook (EPOC). Today I have one Psion netBook Pro (wince 4.2) but I never forgot mine netbook (EPOC).

One reason I always got windows devices is I know they integrate seamlessly with a windows PC. Can you open/edit word and excel docs in their native Microsoft format with a Psion 5mx?
