Sadly didn't seem to do a thing. I copied the files into the Windows directory, added the registry entries and did a reset. I still get the same dialogue coming up when I insert anything USB, asking me for a driver name. Whatever I type, it says that it can't install the driver.

Nice try then.

I wasn't expectint it to bite as the drivers are hacked down to hpc2000. They're actually .net drivers.

I guess the step down to pro is too much

I wish I knew what kind of response the machine was expecting to that dialogue. I have no idea if the text to be typed there is of a cab file to be installed, a dll file, or something completely different.

Any driver name prompt is looking for a dll name

You can type it with or without the .dll suffix. However the driver file has to be under \Windows.

The driver name will be one of the dll's in the LZH file.

I usually add the .dll suffix as a matter of course

Dump the registry keys you added then try again.
Enter usbmsc.dll when you plug in a usb device. I suggest a generic cf reader, mouse, keyboard, external usb 1.1 hdd if you have one. Don't use printers or webcams as they wonk out things.

Sadly, didn't work. I tried a mouse and a 16MB USB drive (which I imagine is 1.1).
