Hello,

WinCE 5.0/MIPS devices are quite popular in korea. Unfortunately, there's not a lot of software development you can easily find. In this page, there are some programs really interesting like DosBox 0.71, PocketxPDF, emulators, and others...

http://blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=copjoker&logNo=1200421646...

Regards.

There's MyPad!

The script type of "Chart Your Infinity" looks awfully familiar. Did they borrow it from you, C:Amie? (Appropriate, BTW, that you posted this to make your post count four infinity symbols turned upright: 8888. )

Borrowed is such an ambiguous word

I didn't even notice my trip into 8888 - Must mean that the post is super lucky when I am in parts of Asia

For Cmonex :

http://www10.edacafe.com/nbc/articles/view_article.php?section=ICNe...

Additionally, the processors are available with production software, including a complete support package and media software, as well as a development platform from RMI. RMI recently made available its WinCE 5.0 Software Release v1.4, adding support for the Au1210 and Au1250 processors and offering new features such as dramatically lower power and extensive USB 2.0 support including, host throughput improvement, isochronous transfer and improved interoperability with Hubs and Flash drives. The software release is available for download to current customers through RMI's embedded developer's site at www.razamicroelectronics.com/products.

Au1250

The RMI Alchemy Au1250 Media Processor provides significantly increased performance while improving its power optimized advantages associated with the Alchemy Processor family. The Au1250 provides full D1 (720 x 480) video decode resolution with MPEG 1, 2, 4, wmv9, and Xvid. The elevated application processing performance, with remarkably low power, makes the Au1250 processor ideally suited to the expanding needs of Multifunction Portable Media Players (mPMP). The Au1250 combines increased performance, up to 600 MHz, with power reductions of more than 30% (active power) and 60% (inactive power), compared to existing Au1200-based systems, the current performance per watt leader in the industry.

Users can now enjoy the ability to simultaneously run multiple diverse applications with substantially longer battery life than before. Finally, the new Au1250 supports boot from NAND functionality, eliminating the need for external NOR flash, and is also available in extended temperature versions.

Regards, Don

hey DonL0001, what did you want to point out to me?
if you mean the part you highlighted in bold.. that is not new at all, any arm cpu i've seen so far can be hooked to nand just fine.. and then the nand has a special part that can be booted (i.e. read by the CPU on reset).. then some more bootloader code is loaded from the nand flash by this special initial code and booting continues as usual

It must have been new to RMI, or they wouldn't have emphasized it. Anyway, I remembered that you were knowledgeable on the differences between NOR and NAND flash, and could be expected to make an informed comment.

Thanks, Don

thcrw739, initial pricing to get hold of an Infinity will not be that high.

There will be some optional extras that you can splurge on though:
- DVB-T
- FOLDABLE BT KEYB
- HID PROFILE
- BT HEADSET WITH MIC
- A2DP
