| Hi. There’s a problem when I try to change my E-Mail address I get this error message:
“Please enter a valid e-mail address
Profile updated successfully,”
any ideas why? And it is a valid e-mail address. |

| I notice that one link on the Downloads page doesn't seem to work any more: the link for PowerToys for CE 1.0. It just takes you to the review of this app, and then the link on the bottom of the review, of course, takes you back to the Downloads page. |

| And I don't know if it should be linked to the Microsoft download page, since Microsoft only seems to have a MIPS version in its download package. (Was this not available for SH3? ) Edited by CE Geek 2008-01-15 5:54 PM

| heh, you realise that the link has been dead since v2 was released - it used to link through to the CESD but would have been culled to the QLink during the v2 port. I have now fixed it back to the CESD. |

| Thanx for correcting this - however, again, the download package only seems to be for MIPS devices. Wasn't there an SH3 version? |

| CE Geek,
This is the only binary for it, and the one that the CESD was written against many years ago - I have even checked my archives, the SH3 has to be in that file. What error are you getting back from the Installer, the unknown CPU type or HPC Explorer is not installed one? If it's that one then HPC Explorer isn't installed correctly or the H/PC isn't physically connected. |

| No, I checked the executable files (.exe, .dll ) in a hexeditor, and they all have the MIPS CPU identifier (66 01 ). Nothing with the SH3 identifier (A2 01 ). |

| Okay, never mind.
I see what the problem was. I ran the installer on my XP notebook in hopes that it would place the files somewhere on the PC so I could copy them onto my A-10 manually. (Too lazy to fire up my Libretto and configure Handheld PC Explorer for IrDA connection with the A-10. ) So it copied over only one version - the MIPS one. (50-50 shot, and it gets it wrong. ) 703k out of the 1227k the installer starts with. (Gee, CE Geek, maybe the other 524k is the SH3 version? )
So I finally got off my lazy behind and set up the infrared connection in H/PC Explorer on the Libretto, and installed it the old fashioned way. (D'oh! ) |

| lol, you went to all that effort, I think that says something for keeping it simple
There were a lot of commercial CE 1 apps that required connectivity from the installer, as there wasn't any redist package system, one assumes that it wasn't very preferred by developers. |
