| Don, a working email address will be required to receive an email which will contain a link that you will be asked to click to confirm that you are who you say you are.
If email is not working for you, I am interested, but please bring it up in the bugs thread. Thanks.
I have no way of knowing whether my email is or is not working other than the fact that no notifications are being received.
My data contains a correct email address, but no apparent way to trigger a confirmation event, if an upset has produced a requirement for one.
Thanks, Don

There should not be a server side reason why you are not receiving your PM/Forum subscription alerts. Are you sure that they aren't being junk mailed by mistake? |

As far as I know, the only emails I have ever received are the ones that I toggle for in threads that I request notification for, and this function has not worked for weeks after months of intermittancy.
You did send me a PM today. Was this supposed to generate an email? I probably haven't configured for that, assuming that it is an option. I see all the junk mail that my system sets aside, so that's not a problem.
Thanks, Don]

Check " Your Settings" -> " Options"-section on the right -> " Edit Communications Preferences"
But it's possible that you have another problem (a comcast issue ), judging from the posts in the e-mail validation thread. (see also my comments there ) |

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01f4'
Variable is undefined: 'dbElara'
/interface/interface.v25.api.asp, line 323
and other thing is that in Safari 4.0.3 (mac os )

| If you try and change your default color theme...you are redirected to: http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/profile/controlpanel.asp
and get the "The website cannot display the page" error...Server 500 error if accessing the add/ignore listing.
Actually, trying to access any of the options: edit board settings, change your email address, etc... will log you out and take you to the overall forum page. |

Confound it, I told dreamweaver to sync the changed import content earlier and clearly it missed half the page files
If you see a "dbElara" error it's because the sync missed it, please report when seen.
I've no idea what is going on with safari. IE and Firefox are behaving themselves. |

| Safari update: How is that? It's working in Chrome now, it seems that the Chrome XHTML parser treats tables as inline elements... |

| An idea for everyone to comment on and consider: Right now as C:Amie has it setup, if you have new email, you get a red alert at the top of the page letting you know. To me the problem with that is I never look at the top of the webpage, or hardly ever. The first thing I do is go to the "new posts" and then right click each of them into a new browser tab. Chances are I won't even notice is someone has sent me email. As I read them, I delete the tab...or respond if I have something to say.
As a matter of fact, most of the time I only know I have new email is when I get a text message sent to my Outlook Express mailbox telling me of it.
So here is an idea to consider...after HPCFactor gets everything settled down, you have a default theme color set. Right now it is either green or maroon, but will soon include shades of blue and gray. Anyway my idea is this:
If you get a new email, then the entire menu system changes to shades of red...and stays that way until you have visited your inbox and read your new email or deleted it. Then it automatically reverts back to your default theme color...that way you don't have to look for a little red alert to see if you have new email or have to check your mailbox...because it will be evident when you suddenly see everything in red!
What do you think? |

| Your Settings: Ignore List - 500 error fixed
- Cause of UI error here is unknown.

I cannot reproduce this, what browser are you using?
EDIT: UI interface issue on Ignore List page resolved. |

| Let's either lose the dark border or pad it with a space or something...it just doesn't look right...
Also: clicking on hpcexplorer support from cesd, link to http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/i/S0014.asp doesn't work.
Also: clicking on the small image for wallpapers and themes, link to: http://www.hpcfactor.com/themes/ doesn't work. (snap.jpg)Attachments ---------------- snap.jpg (3KB - 0 downloads) |
