| Thank you!
So, this is a bit complicated to explain, so bear with me:
Okay, so the forum has been a lot more busy lately.
And with that in mind, if people don't happen to be on the forum every single day, they may miss a lot when they come back.
So, I was thinking, the link on the forum webpage that says: " Latest Threads", could that perhaps be replaced with "Latest Activity".
Basically, I was thinking the ticker that says "Latest Forum Activity", could then be ballooned into a further link to view more threads that cross the threshold seven listings.
So a hybrid of the "Latest Threads" and "Latest Forum Activity" in one page.
Then if you miss a few days, you could conceivably see the latest post activity for the last, say 1 OR 2 OR 5 OR 7 day increments (not all, just throwing out ideas)
Like, we don't need every post highlighted, I just mean every canonical thread that's received a new post in the date range you suggest.
Edit: hmm, disregard all of that I think - I just figured out that the search tool is very powerful, and allows "since last login", and everything about the date ranges in my "Grand 'Ole Idea"...

| Latest threads shows you threads posted since your last log-on time in the database. |

| This is regarding the site and not strictly the forum (I hope that's fine to post here ), but I found a very minor typo on the Handheld PC Devices & Specifications page. If you select any device, and scroll down to "Buying Resources", it states to check the HPC:Facctor Community Forums. |

| On 12 February I got a second private message from C:Amie letting me know that I received the SCL App Submissions badge, which I had already received June of last year.
That badge's page now only shows torch and C:Amie as receivers of that badge so it seems something went wrong and that group's membership got purged.

| @dionysius that amuses me. Looks like it choked somewhere along the way and purged the dataset. It is fixed now, thanks. Bug slayer badge awarded |

| Hey, so about the "Notifications" behaviour
(I'm using English spelling in an attempt to curry favour with you... )
All kidding aside:
1-Let's say I commented on SCL Program #323
2-Then C:Amie replies to me
3-Then I replied to C:Amie
Situation 3, it seems to occur I still get a notification but I'm not sure if it's because:
1-I uploaded SCL Program 323
or
2-I replied to a comment I initially replied to
If that makes sense?
So I'm not sure if it should notify if I reply to myself or my own download?
If that's the coded behavior, I won't argue, I just was curious?
I'm always grateful for all you do, I promise |

| The intent in the code was that it's not supposed to fire if you reply to yourself |

| Understood. Let me wait for the behavior to recur. And I’ll give you an exact context to work on. |

| When making a post, you can select any text and then the Bold or Italic buttons and it will apply the style to your selection.
I thought it would be cool if the same could work for the Link button. So whenever you have some text selected, the second dialog where you specify the hyperlink title would default to the selected text. As far as I can tell it currently always defaults to "My Webpage".
I usually write out my post first and then add the links to it, so at least for me this would be a nice QoL improvement. |
