I am after a wireless card that will work on the J720 under linux and the original operating system.

I was going to use the prebuilt J720 linux image posted on this forum (being a complete noob)

I have looked under the hardware compatibility list but it does not say much apart from the card works on windows CE 2.0

Will the DELL Agere Orinoco Gold Wireless PCMCIA 802.11b PC Card do this?

If this is in fact a true orinoco card yes it will work. However, cards like the proxim orinoco card do not because they use a different chipset and proprietary drivers. I tried to dig up info on this card only to find out nothing. A few forums suggested this card does not work well, just like the proxim cards. I'd stick with lucent orinoco silver/gold, 2wire, cisco aironet or anything prism chipset based to be safe.

Cheers.
