| Nice device but not the price. |

| Maybe not but it's inovative and new and tbh you can easilly spend more than that on a laptop.
The thread I found the link on hinted that the price is expected to quickly drop in the first few weeks or moths after release (guess the pre order price is trying to take advantage of overseas and rich people who simply must have it)....
I still don't find it rediculously priced at all. Esspecially if you look at the price the Nokia E90 was sim free when it first came out (it's still in the £450-£500 range) and that price is just over £750...
Never mind I will grab one in 3 or so years when I can grab one for next to nothing.

| A quick physical comparison:
Sharp Willcom D4: 7.4"x3.3"x1.02" (1.04Lbs )
Fujitsu U810: 6.73"x5.24"x1.06" (1.56Lbs )
HP 2133: 10.4"x6.5"x1.05" (2.8Lbs )
Certainly, people have different preferences about the keyboard size. For me, Sharp wins. Edited by CAuser 2008-04-15 1:37 PM

| yeah this is why i find the willcom must be great.
the u810 is a bit large-ish, but very neat, saw it once in real life.
the HP is of course larger than the 900c, though not by much and the design and the price is great. |

Nice device but not the price.
Very poetic. (I agree, though. )
Geez, the Willcom's dimensions are Jornada-like. Too bad they didn't consider a Jornada-width screen. |

This is the only thing which bugs me - it would be so much more useable (especially from an Office and internet viewpoint ) if they could fit more pixels horizontally into that space. Instead they have what looks like a rather odd capacitative D-pad. Apart from that it is one gorgeous device.
As for the price, this reminds me of when the original H/PCs came out. These were touted as companion devices, but were priced as primary machines - never a very good value-proposition. But then see how the prices dropped later... at least I hope that is what is going to happen...

I have learned my lesson! Could the mods please delete the first two duplicate posts? It offends my sense of tidiness. |

| HP 2133 mini-note with downgrade to XP pro is available NOW! I'd try to replace SUSE Linux with XP pro if I were to buy one. Hopefully, the process is not difficult.

| My 2 cents.
I've had enough aggravation playing with semi-compatible programs in CE format.
THere's a few things I really want to do on the road and can't with a CE machine.
Given time, we'll have full XP capable machines about Sig 3 size for a reasonable price. Till then, I'll take a sub-note. |
